If you are a golf lover you probably know that the Algarve is one of the best destinations to practice the sport. Within a 5 minute drive you can be on a driving range practising your swing. Estrela da Luz has a partnership with the following golf courses:

Santo António Golf (Parque da Floresta) - This golf course is perfectly integrated into the landscape. It is an 18-hole course, one of the hardest in the Algarve, with sloping and narrow fairways.

Espiche Golf (Espiche) - Designed sustainably, it co-exists with the surrounding landscape. Natural fields and local vineyards bolder the irregular terrain, virgin vegetation, lakes, streams and flowers. The course has a setting that requires skill in the short game, as well as, sharp putting technique.

Boavista Golf (Lagos) - This golf course, designed Howard Swan, has 18 holes and is excellent for golf practice. Here, it was possible to integrate the layout into the existing natural terrain, using the very features that make Boavista a delight to the eye.

Onyria Palmares (Lagos) – 27 holes course (18+9), strategically framed along the coast, have their character: native vegetation with pine and olive trees, narrow valleys and extensive dunes, not to mention the dramatic view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Morgado Golf Course (Portimão) – With 18 holes, the Morgado is a more open and accessible course, possibly the most quieter course of the region due to its location, in the countryside (between Portimão and Monchique). It has extensive green spaces and generous fairways (800m2), as well as, strategically located lakes and bunkers.

Álamos Golf (Portimão) - Located in the northern part of the Morgado do Reguengo Resort, the Álamos Golf course presents irregular and tighter fairways and holes delimited by native trees. A precision of putting is necessary to play in the aggressive bunkers that exist along the 71 Par course.

Penina Golf (Portimão) - Penina Hotel & Golf Resort is the origin of Portuguese golf. This resort offers three golf courses in one space, one of which being the first 18-hole course built in the Algarve. Considered a legendary and the most challenging golf course in the world, Penina Golf already hosted the Portugal Open for a dozen times.

Vale de Milho (Lagoa) - Vale do Milho is a 9-hole, Par 3 course that has fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean, in Carvoeiro. A challenging course for all levels of play as it features long undulated greens, trees, lakes and bunkers.
